I came through the lovely town of Little Switzerland last week on a solo camping trip. I saw there was some firewood next to the shop and popped in to ask if it was for sale and the lovely lady said I could just have some! She was so nice to me and I felt obligated to spend some money there. I couldn't afford the high end paintings so I purchased a cappuccino (delicious) and on a whim bought a little sweet treat that I have no clue what it's called. But I have been dreaming of that carmel and chocolate little crumb cake delight ever since. What was that thing!? I took a small piece home to show others this magical morsel. They were all blown away too. Thank you Books and Beans for giving me warmth via firewood that night and for the warmth you gave my taste buds and belly. I might have to make another 8hr round trip to get more caramel chocolate crumb cake deliciousness very soon!

That's funny because my husband and I went in there yesterday and purchased some gum that said "I kissed a Republican" with a picture of someone with their head in the toilet. We are democrats and thought the place was charming and the gum was funny. I definitely suggest anyone that visits Little Switzerland to visit this bookstore.

Posted on Yelp and every where else: Awful! We walk up to the check out with our items and I noticed a display of chewing gum: "I Kissed a Democrat" with a head in the mouth of a toilet. We immediately put our items back. Don't support a business with this type of unethical business practice. I don't care if you're republican or democrat! The BIG irony is that republicans are generally fucking idiots and don't read books. Other than that fictitious bible and the magician jesus.

Rick, I need to have information from you about the goals of the group that is meeting on "The Future of Little Switzerland." Are you meeting on Aug. 22 at 12 pm at the bookstore? If so, I will be there. The Board of the Little Switzerland Community Association is meeting on August 29 and any concerns you may have can be brought to our attention. Stanley Black, President, LSCA

Love, love, love your little shop. The atmosphere, a mix of fresh coffee, sugar, and gently loved books, was perfect. I did not want to leave, and I was down there during peak fall color (so that is saying alot). Long live your shop, so I can visit every year...preferably on a rainy day so I will not be so inclined to go outdoors.

Hi, My son and I stopped in today for a coffee and a look around. What a great bookstore! I wish I had more time to browse all the books. I'll be back when I have more time to look around the store. What a great find!
